BY ANGEL LINE
With it's multiple acts, athletics, and general feel-good atmosphere, the Monster Music Fest has been a popular destination for many years. This year's line-up is going to be a killer, from new acts on the tour like Strength in Numbers and For Your Entertainment, to returning favorites like Kingdom. If you like any kind of music, this fest is one to check out. The bands come from multiple genres and all share the same stage. Check your local venue for specific lineup information because the set times will change from place to place. The first stop this year is in bright in sunny Los Angeles, and even before the bands got here, the venue was buzzing with excitement. Fans were camping overnight the night before, and were all lined up at the entrance when the bands started to arrive to open the merch booths and signing tents.
During the chaos of things getting started, I caught a few moments with Porcelain's front man, Kristian Stringer. Porcelain did not join the tour last year, but they were with us the year before that. The entire group is rather excited to return. "We've all been looking forward to this since we got the invitation to be a part of it," Stringer said. "We love any chance to be able to spend time with the fans and just put our stuff out there. We've got some old favorites in the set, as well as some newer stuff that we hope you all will like." It seems to be the general consensus with all the acts here. So, grab your water and sunscreen, and get down here to join us! Tell them that Angel Line sent you and you may just receive a gift, courtesy of The Rag and 100.7 FM, L.A.'s rock station.
